Mobile Token (sponsored by Innovation budget from SWIFT)
SWIFT relies heavily on hardware USB tokens to secure data, which constraints the use of the SWIFT applications to PCs.
In 2011, I proposed, together with a colleague, to create a hardware token which could be used on mobile devices by connecting to the audio jack. We created a working prototype of such a token and demonstrated signing a transaction on an iPad to the Manangement.
I think the potential of such a token is huge, considering that it allows creating a mobile vendor independent platform which could be used for Homebanking, eWallet, Encrypted Email Services...
